Derived from CNSL, friction dust is a granular, brown or black color, free flowing polymerized resin. Brake manufacturers can choose the most appropriate friction dust material from a broad range of mesh sizes and granulation to be used in metallic, semi-metallic and non asbestos brake products.
All of our friction dust products are furfural modified particularly designed for high standard heavy duty applications. They help to withstand higher than normal temperatures created by repeated brake stops, at the same time , help to reduce the overall pad hardness to keep compressibility within the desired range. All products are PH neutral, which reduces potential corrosion problems.
Model | Acetone Extraction | Volatile Loss at 370°C | Ash(max) | Size (mesh) | Color | Notes |
LCB-231 | ≤6% | ≤35% | ≤10% | 40 | Black | For standard high thermal performance heavy duty disc pad and drum lining |
LCB-232 | ≤5% | ≤30% | ≤6% | 40 | Black | Abrasive modified, better hardness, extreme low wear rate |
LCB-251 | ≤3% | ≤15% | ≤5% | 40 | Black | Elastomer modified, max noise dampener, withstand extreme high temperature up to 500°C |
